Description: This narrow, columnar Rose of Sharon variety flaunts bubblegum pink, cone shaped, slightly ruffled, semi-double blooms with deep red splotches at the base of each petal. A central style extends from the middle of each bloom, filled with fluffy ivory stamens and topped with a white stigma. The blossoms rise over a bushy mound of diamond shaped, deep green leaves that are toothed at the tips. Attractive to bee, butterflies, and humans alike, this striking specimen is sure to pop in any garden setting. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote flowering. Apply mulch to the base of the plant before winter for additional winter root protection.
