Accessibility Policy

Peter Knippel Nursery Inc. is committed to excellence in serving all customers, including people with disabilities. We believe that all customers deserve an equal level of access to the services we provide, and we do not discriminate on the basis of ability or disability. Different customers have different needs, and we are committed to meeting the needs of each customer on an individual basis. Customer  service shall respect the independence, dignity, integration, and equal opportunity of each individual.

Assistive Devices: We will ensure that our staff are trained and familiar with any assistive devices that customers with disabilities may normally require in order to access our services. The nursery has a wheelchair on site; this wheelchair is commonly used by customers with mobility concerns and by elderly customers.

Communication: We will communicate with people with disabilities in way that take into account their disabilities.

Service Animals: We welcome people with disabilities and their service animals. Service animals are allowed on the aprts of our premises that are open to the public.

Support Persons: A person with a disability who is accompanied by a support person will be allowed to have that support person accompany him or her on our premises. There are never access fees associated with entrance into our premises.

Feedback: Customers who wish to provide feedback on the way Peter Knippel Nursery provides goods and services to people with disabilities can provide feedback in a number of ways, including: verbally to staff members at our store, in writing, or electronically over email. All feedback will be directed to one of the company owners. If requested, a response can be expected within five days of receipt of the initial feedback.

Should there be a disruption in service in whole or in part, PKN will give notice of the disruption to the public via our website www.knippelgardencentre.com and through a notice posted at the entrance to the garden center. A detailed description will be provided on both our website and notice to include the reason, anticipation of duration, and alternate services, if available.
