Latin Name: Citrus limon
Description: Lemon trees make excellent houseplants, provided you have a nice, bright space for them to live in. They produce fragrant, deep rich green foliage with slightly toothed edges. In the spring, you may be rewarded with an abundance of tart, lemon scented, white, star-shaped blooms. These flowers will eventually ripen into lemons! Though they may be smaller and not as sweet as lemons you would buy from the store, they are edible and may make a nice addition to cocktails.
Watering: Water when the top 2 inches of soil are dry.
Growth Rate: Moderate
Shape: Upright, mounding
Sun or Shade: Bright, indirect light
Difficulty level: Moderate
