Description: Each flower has a ring of colourful florets around the edges of the lacecap surrounding small green florets on the interior. The flowers remain pink in basic soils and turn blue-purple in acidic soils with abundant aluminum. Blooms are supported by burgundy stems. Should not be pruned except to remove dead wood in spring. Flowers continue to bloom all summer on old wood first, then rebloom on new wood later on.
