Latin Name: Colocasia esculenta 'Blue Hawaii'
Description: Sometimes referred to as an 'Elephant Ear', this large upright tropical features massive oblong heart-shaped bright green leaves with prominent deep purple veining. The leaves rise from tubers on tall, deep purple stems in a self-mounding fashion. The backsides of the foliage remains a dramatic deep cranberry throughout the growing season, adding to visual interest.
Watering: Enjoys moist to slightly wet soil. Do not allow to dry out fully. Water when the first inch of soil becomes dry.
