Latin Name: Aloe vera
Description: Sometimes called the 'Plant of Immortality' due to its medicinal qualities, this plant forms a nice rosette of fleshy, grey-green, succulent-like leaves which are sharply toothed with pinkish spines along the edges. The gel like substance found inside the leaves is often used cosmetically and as a treatment for burns.
Mildly toxic to pets. Fertilize with indoor plant or tropical plant fertilizer once a month during the active growing months.
Watering: Water sparingly, allow the soil to dry out fully between waterings. Very susceptible to root rot.
