Latin Name: Panicum virgatum 'Heavy Metal'
Description: Also called Blue Switch Grass, this perennial grows best in full sun and maintains an upright habit. The foliage is a silvery blue-green colour with graceful pink-toned panicles at the top. Turns yellow in the Fall and brown in the Winter. Prune back to 10cm above the ground in the Spring. Expect new growth in the Summer, not Spring.
