Latin Name: Amsonia tabernaemontana 'Blue Ice'
Description: Also known as Willow Amsonia or 'Blue Star', the Blue Ice Amsonia is a mid-height groundcover with spectacularly blue blooms. Buds first emerge navy, then open to expose periwinkle blue florets in the late summer. Soft, flowing texture compliments the more rigid structure of other late season perennials like coneflowers or brown-eyed susan. A garden favourite here at Knippel garden centre.
