Latin Name: Dryopteris Erythosora 'Brilliance'
Description: Also known as the 'Autumn Brilliance' or Copper shield fern, this unique shade-perennial is a great addition for fall colours all season long. Fern leaves emerge orange-red in the spring, contrasting with the deeper green summer fronds. In the fall, all foliage turns a copper-orange.
Like most ferns, the Dryopteris Erythosora 'Brilliance' will spread if left to naturalize. Containment is recommended, splitting plants in the fall is the best way to control it's spread.
