Description: Also known as snakeroot or bugbane, the hillside black beauty is a fantastic shade perennial grown for it's dark, fan shaped foliage. Given it's height and compact growth habit, it is an excellent companion for the sun king aralia or the raspberry sundae hosta. Creamy pink flower spires emerge in the fall before dormancy.
