Great Gardens Begin at Knippel’s
Make your garden a true feast for the senses by including plants with fragrance! Try them planted along a path, under windows that are often opened, or close to seating areas for more relaxed enjoyment.
Summersweet (Clethra alnifolia) are covered in bottlebrush flowers with a beautiful honeyed vanilla scent and are blooming at the garden centre right now. We currently have three varieties in stock: Ruby Spice, Sixteen Candles, and Hummingbird. Ruby Spice grows to about 1-2 m high and 1 m wide and has pink blooms. Sixteen Candles, which is a little smaller than Ruby Spice, has white flowers. Hummingbird also has white flowers and grows to between 80-100 cm tall and wide.
