Description: Rapid growing, upright tree with dark leathery foliage. When it blooms in late April or early May it is covered with masses of flowers. Dark summer foliage turns to brilliant shades of crimson and reddish-purple in the fall. Adaptable and tolerant of city conditions. Suitable for use as a street tree or screen.
